The most upscale coffeehouse you’ll ever visit. My dad needed a ride to an eye appointment and I asked if he minded we dropped by this coffeehouse on the way back. He said he was totally down for that. So, we stopped in around 9am to one of the fanciest coffeehouses around. This is one of the first coffeehouses my dad has ever been to and he was also blown away by how fancy and how nice everything was here. He declined to get a coffee but I got my usual iced americano. The barista taking my order was beyond friendly and super communicative on everything. I appreciated that since the pick up counter is at the far left side of the counter and you order on the far right. While we were waiting for my coffee, we took a long look at the delicious-looking baked goods in the display case. We didn’t get any since I am focusing on what I eat lately and my dad was a bit too shy to order anything. We took a seat and chilled for about 10 minutes since I still had to report to work that afternoon. When I was given my americano, it was on the lighter side of brown, so I knew it was going to be a smoother one and I prefer the darker, more bitter ones. But, it wasn’t too bad. It started off smoo

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Matari Coffee, and I can confidently say it deserves a full 5 out of 5 stars. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with warm, genuine customer service that made me feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer. The staff was friendly, attentive, and more than happy to answer questions and offer recommendations. The indoor atmosphere is another standout feature. It strikes the perfect balance between modern and cozy, making it an ideal spot whether you’re meeting friends, working remotely, or simply enjoying a quiet cup of coffee. The space is clean, well-designed, and inviting, which adds to the overall experience. As for the products, everything I tried was exceptional. The coffee was rich, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care, and the quality really shows in every sip. It’s evident that they take pride in what they serve. Overall, Matari Coffee delivers on every level—service, atmosphere, and product quality. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the Peoria area. You won’t be disappointed at all.

Visited Matari Cafe recently and had a great experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which honestly made the whole vibe even better. Their mango matcha was refreshing and perfectly balanced—not too sweet, just right. The Spanish latte was smooth, rich, and easily one of the highlights. They also have a wide variety of dessert options, so there’s plenty to choose from if you’ve got a sweet tooth. Overall, a really cozy spot with great drinks and even better service. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.

Matari! Every drink and dessert I’ve tried has been exceptional. The coffee is true quality—you can literally smell the richness before you even take a sip, and the taste lives up to it. One of my favorite touches is that everything is served on beautiful golden trays, which instantly gives it that classy “coffee date” vibe. It feels fancy without the fancy price—actually cheaper than many big chain coffee shops. When it gets busy, the wait can be a little longer, but that’s honestly part of getting quality drinks made with care. Totally worth it. The atmosphere is gorgeous—clean tables, comfortable chairs, and a stylish, relaxing space that makes you want to stay awhile. If you love good coffee, great desserts, and a place that feels special without being overpriced, this spot is definitely worth visiting!

UPDATE: Just visited Matari again and sure enough the owner did post a paper sign at the start of the line which really helped us as we were deciding what to order. The Matari Chai is PHENOMENAL, so frikken delicious!! A very close second is the Yemeni latte my husband ordered. But I'm in love with the Chai 😋 😋 😋 I stopped in to try out the coffee during the soft opening, but there was a group of young men taking a long time to order and I didn't have enough time to wait in line. I will be back to try it out and give a better review. Note to the owners: Where the menu screen is, you have to wait until you're at the register to determine what you want, which holds the line. Maybe you can add a second paper menu to help those standing in line decide what to order before getting to your one register, or add a second register?
